Sufi Rohal Faqir (1734–1804) was a saint-poet, mystic, and exponent of Sufi philosophy. He belonged to the Zangeja caste, practiced the Muslim faith, and followed the Sufi path. Many considered him to be a reincarnation of the great saint-poet Kabir in the Sindh region. Rohal is the ancestor of the well-known Kandri Sharif tribe of poets and people of piety. He achieved great heights in Sufism through the blessings of Sufi-sage Shah Inayat, a famous martyr.
In his poetry, Sufi Rohal conveyed a message of relinquishing egoism and hatred while advocating the path of love. He was the first person to blend Vedantic elements with Muslim Sufi concepts. His shrine is located at Kandri Sharif in the Taluka Rohri of the Sukkur District.
