While studying in Umarkot, Juman Darbadar was spread to national and socialist ideas through his college teacher, Khadim Hussain Shar. This exposure, combined with his friendship with Abdul Wahid Arisar, led him to join the national movement of Sindh.

He also began writing poetry, and one of his poems became famous in Sindh "Wathee Har Har Janam Warbo". It was often recited by Sain G. M. Syed and referenced in his books. The poem is also inscribed on the door of Sain G.M Syed's mausoleum.
Juman Darbadar's poetry was sung by renowned artists such as Shafi Faqir, Sadiq Faqir, Sarmad Sindhi, and others. He was a talented artist himself and participated as an artist in the 1987 Shah Latif International Conference organized by the Sindhi Women's Sanstha in Delhi.
