Renowned Sindhi language researcher and poet Dr. Ishaq Samejo was born on March 18, 1975 in Fazalpur village of Dadu district. He did his masters in Sindhi literature from the University of Sindh, and after receiving his doctorate degree from the same university in 2014, he was appointed as the first lecturer in the Sindhi department and is currently teaching there as a professor. He has also been the director of Mirza Qalich Bag Chair, the chairman of the Sindhi department and the director of the Institute of Sindhology and at present he is the chairman of Sindhi Language Authority.
Dr. Ishaq Sameji started poetry in 1990, his poetry collections include 'Sada Bechain ahy' (2001), 'Gunaah ja Geet (poems of sin)' (2006), 'Mor Nagar Te Meenhan' (2020) and 'Biye Paasy Qabeelo Ho' (2023). ) are included.
In the poetry of Ishaq Samejo, the problems and tragedies of modern urban life are found. His poetry includes elements of innovation, romanticism, folk romance and mythology as well as environmentalism. There are some charming examples of imagination in his poems. Many of his poems and ghazals are popular.
