Imam Ali Janjhi, a renowned Sindhi poet, was born on March 15, 1975, in Wakrari village, Islamkot Taluka, Tharparkar District. He completed his education up to intermediate level at Model School, Mirpurkhas. Active in Sindhi literary and social organizations, he served as Secretary of the Sindhi Adabi Sangat (Islamkot branch) twice and as Counselor once. He was also Secretary twice and Treasurer once for the ‘Sindh Kotha Karaj’ organization in Islamkot and served as Secretary of the Megha Social Organization from 2003 to 2016.
Imam Ali worked for 15 years with the NGO ‘PVDP’ as a Social Mobilizer and Admin Area Office In-Charge in districts like Sanghar, Khairpur, Mirpurkhas, Matli, and Nagarparkar. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the 'Poorab Janai' Award by Sami Foundation in 2008. His poetry has been widely published in Sindhi magazines and newspapers, earning him significant acclaim in Sindhi literature.
