Haleem Sitai was born on September 6, 1987, in the village of Gaji Khan Janwari, located in Mehar Tehsil. His childhood was deeply influenced by the cultural and intellectual environment of Sita, which played a pivotal role in shaping his personality.
Educational Journey:
In 1992, Haleem's family moved from Gaji Khan Janwari village to Bero Khan Janwari village near Seeta Road, where he completed his education from primary school to the 12th grade. He pursued higher education in Hyderabad at a boys' degree college in Qasimabad, earning an MA in English.
Literary Pursuits:
Haleem Setai not only excelled in academics but also carved a distinct identity in the literary world. He is skilled in various forms of poetry, including ghazals, songs, traditional Sindhi forms such as baits, bhajans, tairas, and chauks. Although his poetry has not yet been published in book form, it can be read on platforms like Baakh. His writings reflect the essence of Sindh’s soil, social realities, and profound intellectual depth.
Professional Career:
Haleem Setai has worked as a teacher in various institutions, contributing significantly to education. Some key milestones in his teaching career include:
Faraz Model School, Seeta Road (2006–2008)
Primary Teacher at Sujagro Elementary School, Hyderabad (2014–2018)
Additionally, he worked for two years as an alterations tailor at Label Uniform Center in Hyderabad. Leveraging his proficiency in English grammar, particularly tenses, he also served as an English instructor at various centers. Many of his students are now employed in esteemed positions.
Current Position:
Haleem Setai is currently serving as a primary school teacher under the Government of Sindh's Department of Education.
