Juman 'Darbadar,' (Muhammad Juman Darbdar) a renowned poet and nationalist activist, was born on May 12, 1944, in the village of Rohalwa in the Umarkot district of Pakistan.. His early education took place at Umarkot Primary School, and later, his father established a village school where Juman completed four grades.

He continued his education at the Sabhi Middle School until the eighth grade. Additionally, he studied at his father's madrasa, Aziz Sabhi, where he shared a classroom with the nationalist intellectual and politician Abdul Wahid Arisar. Juman passed his matriculation in 1962. Following this, he completed a Budder and field assistant course in Horticulture in Mirpurkhas, subsequently working as a field assistant in various locations, including Jati, Sajawal, Baran Farm, Ghulam Nabi Shah, Dhori Nari, and Khar since 1970.

While studying in Umarkot, Juman Darbadar was spread to national and socialist ideas through his college teacher, Khadim Hussain Shar. This exposure, combined with his friendship with Abdul Wahid Arisar, led him to join the national movement of Sindh.

Juman Darbadar was a multifaceted talent, excelling as a poet, artist, drama actor, and playwright. During his time at Agricultural College, Sukran, he participated in numerous theatrical productions as an actor, singer, and director. Some of his notable plays included "Badnasib Thiri," "Sweet Sun," "Flower Girl," "Ace," "Sadness and Famine," "Moon Rises," "Tho Lulu," "Torro Ashiq," and "Lagh Beh Minhanja Loh." His written plays included "Aas," "Sakanwaro Suj," and "Torro Ashiq."

He was actively involved in politics, initially in the Jeay Sindh Mahaz in Tharparkar district and later in the Jeay Sindh Qomi Mahaz. He also began writing poetry, and one of his poems became famous in Sindh "Wathee Har Har Janam Warbo". It was often recited by Sain G. M. Syed and referenced in his books. The poem is also inscribed on the door of Sain G.M Syed's mausoleum.

Juman Darbadar's poetry was sung by renowned artists such as Shafi Faqir, Sadiq Faqir, Sarmad Sindhi, and others. He was a talented artist himself and participated as an artist in the 1987 Shah Latif International Conference organized by the Sindhi Women's Sanstha in Delhi. His song, sung during the conference, was broadcasted by All India Radio Delhi. He received several awards and prizes for his contributions as a drama artist.

In addition to his association with Sain G.M Syed, he was also close to Comrade Ghulam Muhammad Leghari and Comrade Jam Saqi. Apart from his involvement in national activities, he also participated in literary, social, and welfare initiatives. Sadly, he passed away on October 20, 2022, due to a heart attack in the village of Rohalwa.
