Manjhi Faqeer, a Sufi singer and poet, was born into a humble household in Barhoon Sharif, Sanghar district, around 1964. Growing up in poverty, he only completed three levels of formal education. Instead of pursuing further studies, he helped his family by tending to goats while also receiving religious education. His love for poetry blossomed during his childhood, as he would recite verses dedicated to the martyrs of Karbala and prisoners of Syria while playing with other children. As he delved deeper into Sufism, his poetry took on a spiritual tone. Although originally known as a poet, Manjhi Faqeer's distinctive singing style brought him fame in Sindh.
