Data Walayat Shah son of Bagan Shah Lal (I) was born on Tuesday, May 2, 1911, according to 2nd Jamadalawal 1329 AH, near his native village Hanbaha. He received his early education from his father. Data Walayat Ali Shah was very handsome, tall and straight, with a broad and double red forehead, light birthmarks on his face, a scar on the left side of his face. His hair was long, dark and he used to wear green hair. He traveled all over India, Sindh and visited the famous Dargahs of Sindh and India. He was always traveling, that's why they called him Datta Selani Faqir.
He chanted the pen of Anal Haq and set all the Sufi standards and his voice of love spread far and wide. An album of his poetry is available at the Dargah, in which there are verses and poems arranged on musical notes.
"There is fluency and taste in his poetry, he has a voice that propagates the West, and the pronunciation is very well done. In every stanza, Tajnis has reached the level of literal perfection. The storage of words is very large, many new words and terms are included in his magazine. His magazine consists of 373 pages, in which 389 verses and verses are included.
About him, Sufi Fakir Qurban Ali Khaskheli writes in the book Anbah in the case of Araha; Saint Data Walayat Ali Shah was born in Bagan.
Data spent the last time of his life in his village, where on 17 March 1982 according to 20 Jamadalawal 1402 AH, he attained the age of 71 years and passed away forever. His companions and contemporaries were Maulvi Abdul Aziz Shah, Anwar Ali Shah Bukhari, Sardar Shah Lakiari and Abu Shaukat Hamzo.
A book containing 100 poems and verses of his "Anbah Mein Arah" (Sindhi Poems) was edited by Mehdi Shah Fayazi and published in 1990 from Shikarpur, Dakkan district. The second book "Dhola Mahi Aa" (Saraiki Kalam) was published by Abdul Ghani "Ayaz" Bhatti.
